Class Types

Class Types: Different classes have inherent traits. I will update this page as I recall information.

Movement Classes:


Running: Inhibited by most terrain. Cannot move through foes.

Levitating: Grants immunity to most terrain. Cannot move through foes. Still cannot reach flying foes with a 1 range attack.

Flight (Winged): Boosted by Valkyrie feathers. Air gems can be used once per battle to double movement. While flying, ignores most terrain. Can move through non-flying foes. Cannot be struck by grounded units by one range attacks (unless that unit is countering a 1 range attack made by the flying character). Take double damage from arrows while flying.

Flight (Levitating): While flying, ignores most terrain. Can move through non-flying foes. Cannot be struck by grounded units by one range attacks (unless that unit is countering a 1 range attack made by the flying character). Take double damage from falling. Can move in space. Movement doubled in space.
Falling damage is determined by size. Normal falling damage is:
Very Small: 5%
Small: 10% 
Medium: 20%
Huge+: 30%

Flight (Thruster/Jet): While flying, ignores most terrain. Can move through non-flying foes. Cannot be struck by grounded units by one range attacks (unless that unit is countering a 1 range attack made by the flying character). Take double damage from missiles. Can move in space. Movement doubled in space.

Teleporting: Ignores terrain that is moved through. Pass through foes. Pass through range triggered abilities (Heart Stopping Aura, Engagement, Soulmass, etc.). Teleporting movement is disabled by certain maps and by gravity items. Can move in space. 

Swinging: Considered to be in flight until the end of the units turn. Will land in terrain. Can reach and strike flying foes. ODM movement uses air jets, and as such it can use an air gem to double its movement once per battle. 

Swimming: Unimpeded by water terrain. Normally water tiles take running units two movement to move through. If a unit can only swim, it will reduce its movement by 80% if it tries to move across land. 

Species Classes:


Human: Cities require at least 100 human citizens to begin paying units to protect them. Mirrored to Deific. It is very unusual for any unit to ever gain slaying damage against a human unit. 

Dragon: Dragon-type characters deal "Dragon" damage (buffed by Dragon Hearts) with breath weapons or any unique abilities. Several dragon-based miracles/spells exist. All dragons can be taught Dragon-Fang. All dragons have access to a color-based dragon scale ability. Cannot hold rune arcs. Mirrored to Beast.
